During this scientific meeting, Valbiotis presents pre-clinical results on TOTUM•448 The study presented examined the effects of TOTUM•448 on fatty liver associated with metabolic dysfunction (MASLD). The objective was to better understand the mechanisms of action of TOTUM•448 and its potential effects on different adipose compartments in animals. The results showed a reduction in hepatic fat content and hepatocyte ballooning. Additionally, some fat compartments were heavier and had decreased gene expression of an inflammation marker with TOTUM•448.
In addition to demonstrating a positive effect on characteristics of MASLD, these results seem to suggest that TOTUM•448 modulates lipid storage in the liver and adipose compartments.
